I am so incredibly angry at the news that Sen Schumer has retreated from his position on the shutdown fight. I don't think the Senate Dems should vote for the Continuing Resolution unless and until we have our democracy back. Let's let the Republicans fail and use that failure to win in the special elections in Florida in April. We shouldn't act like this democracy is actually functioning. We shouldn't even cave for assurances regarding Social Security and Medicaid. We need EOs rescinded, federal workers back at their desks, Khalil out of prison. . . We need everything! And we shouldn't settle for less than adherence to the rule of law. Please do not vote for the CR. Please convince your colleagues of the same. Senator Schumer is making a terrible mistake.
