Another scheme to keep information away from Missourians disguised as “save the children”. Please restore funding for school access to OverDrive and Sora. Clearly, this proposal displays deep ignorance of how the library systems work. It is far easier to allow parents to decide what their own children read. That is how it should be. Expecting a librarian or a company to be the arbitrator over thousands of different families’ tastes and religious boundaries is insane. Reading can be a safe way to an explore an idea. Reading isn’t the danger, government overreach it.
