The removal of the "Prohibition of Segregated Facilities" clause from federal contracting rules is a concerning regression. While existing laws still prohibit segregation, this policy change sends the wrong message and undermines efforts towards an equitable society. Segregated facilities were a shameful legacy of institutionalized discrimination that we should reject unequivocally. I urge you to push for reinstating this clause and uphold the principle that taxpayer dollars must not enable or perpetuate segregated workplaces or public accommodations under any circumstances. A just society cannot tolerate separate and unequal treatment based on race, gender, or other characteristics. Please take decisive action to rectify this misguided policy change.
