Subject: Opposition to Executive Order on March 14, 2025
Dear Representative,
I am writing to strongly oppose President Trump’s executive order, "Additional Rescissions of Harmful Executive Orders and Actions," issued on March 14, 2025. This order undermines vital protections for vulnerable communities, workers' rights, and the environment, marking a significant step backward in our nation’s pursuit of equality and sustainability.
**Harm to LGBTQIA+ Rights**
Rescinded policies threaten protections for LGBTQIA+ individuals in the workplace and healthcare, allowing legal discrimination and endangering their well-being.
**Attack on Women’s Rights**
The order limits access to reproductive healthcare and workplace protections for women, particularly affecting low-income and marginalized groups, making them more vulnerable to economic insecurity and abuse.
**Weakening Workers’ Protections**
By removing stronger protections for workers, including fair wages and safety standards, this order allows exploitation and increased risks to workers’ health and safety.
**Environmental Destruction**
The rescinding climate policies prioritizes corporate profits over public health, accelerating climate change and putting future generations at risk.
**Governmental Overreach**
These actions do not reduce government overreach; they concentrate power in corporations while stripping rights from ordinary Americans. They were essential corrections to systemic inequalities, not harmful actions.
**Impact on Future Generations**
The negative consequences of this executive order will persist for generations. Undoing protections for LGBTQIA+ individuals, women, workers, and the environment is profoundly damaging.
We cannot afford to regress. I urge you to stand against this order and advocate for legislation that reinstates necessary protections. America should prioritize equality, fairness, and sustainability.
Sincerely,
A concerned American citizen
