I urge you to fund USAID’s TB programs and address the growing crisis of drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB). TB claims over 1.5 million lives annually, and the rise of drug-resistant strains is making this global health threat even more deadly. Nearly half a million people are affected by drug-resistant TB every year, with survival rates as low as 50% without proper treatment. USAID’s programs are crucial in combating this devastating disease. Cutting funding will only exacerbate the spread of drug-resistant TB, endangering millions of lives. We must prioritize global health security and continue the fight against TB. Please stand with public health, and ensure USAID receives the necessary funding to save lives.
