We don't need indoctrination in our schools, whether religious or political. I learnt from an unbiased textbook about communism when I was in the fourth grade, and I survived just fine, developing my own opinions about it. Ten-year-old me figured out for myself what sounded ok and what didn't. As a high school senior, I learnt about different political AND economic systems (you do know that communism is economic and authoritarianism is political...right??). Turns out, I wanted to learn more about Parliamentarianism.
Students forming their own opinions frightens autocrats, not supporters of democracy and republicanism. I expect those who represent me to oppose legislation directing that students be taught which systems are "good" or "bad." We can figure it out on our own.
