Dear congressmen and women from all parties. I urge you to use your power within checks and balances to limit President Trump’s power. Currently, no one besides the judicial branch is following the checks and balances our founding fathers put in place. I urge you to listen to your constituents on the issues that are scaring them. We don't want tarrifs, we don't want DOGE to have access to our information. Currently, we can not even put in a FOIA request even though a judge made the call that the DOGE has to comply with FOIA requests. We don't want ICE to kidnap people who have the right to be here, whether they are a citizen, green card holder, or here via visa. They have the right to be here and have the right to use their freedom of speech. No one deserves to be treated cruelly by kidnapping them without a reason, having people sit in inhumane condition, and deported without any legal counsel or communication. I am scared our country will fall and become a dictatorship. We have worked hard to hold up our democracy and people within the United States have worked hard to believe in the ideals of liberty, freedom, and happiness trying to achieve the American dream. No one deserves to see the country collapse. I ask for both parties to work together and to listen to their constituents. Listen to the people who voted for you, not from those who have influenced you with money. The 2 party system and relationship of Republicans and democrats needs to change. We need to work as a unity. Not 1 party wants to win over another party. Otherwise, our country will continue to decline into shambles. Right now kids are being taught about our government works with checks and balances and right now our government is ignoring every rule that history has put in place. You should at least do right by following rules that kids are being taught about. In addition all federal workers have to be brought back because so many resources we use on a daily basis we cannot survive without the personnel within those departments. Consequences of understaffing would be all the plane crashes due to the lack of people in the air traffic control, or the department of education where so many highschoolers need to navigate getting into college and the Financials that come along with that. So basically at the end of the day please use your power regardless of which party you identify with to reasonably act on checks and balances to limit president trumps power and even impeach him otherwise our country will go from a 1st world country to a 3rd world country really fast.
