On April 3, 2025, Senators Chuck Grassley and Maria Cantwell introduced the Trade Review Act of 2025. This bipartisan bill ensures that any tariffs imposed by the president expire after 60 days unless Congress approves them, restoring the Senate’s rightful role in trade policy. I urge you to vote in favor of this Act and also to work diligently to build support and pass it as soon as possible. The Senate cannot remain passive while the executive branch jeopardizes the lives of every American, nor while it exceeds its constitutional authority. The time to act is now.
