Representative Evans, let's be clear. I did not vote for you, but you are my Representative and therefore you are my voice in the House. I urge you to join with Democrats in the House to vote against President Trump's tariffs, as did several of your party's Senators yesterday. These tariffs are actively harming Coloradoans with increased prices. This amounts to a new sales tax that was never voted upon and approved by voters. It causes the greatest harm to poor and middle class voters, because they spend a much higher ratio of their income on necessary purchases like food, gasoline, medicine, baby supplies, and more. These are your constituents, regardless of party. You must take a stand against the terrible harm the president is doing to the American economy. This transcends party; this is something no American should stand for, and you are in a position to help not just Coloradoans, not just Republicans, but all Americans. Vote down the tariffs; save the American economy.
