Urgent Demand for Action and Executive Resignation

To: Pres. Trump, Sen. Kennedy, Sen. Cassidy, Rep. Scalise

From: A verified voter in Madisonville, LA

March 8

We, the citizens of the United States, write at a critical juncture in our history. Widespread dissatisfaction with current policies and economic instability demand immediate attention. Public Sentiment and Protests Recent polls show a sharp decline in public approval of the administration. Six weeks into President Trump’s second term, approval ratings have plummeted, with discontent fueled by economic concerns and the administration’s failure to prioritize inflation and relief efforts (Vox). Widespread protests reflect growing frustration with the nation’s trajectory. Additionally, the U.S. has become an embarrassment on the world stage due to erratic interactions with Ukraine, NATO, and allies such as Canada, the U.K., and European partners. The refusal to reaffirm NATO’s Article 5, wavering support for Ukraine, and diplomatic missteps have weakened America’s standing and emboldened adversaries. Allies no longer see us as reliable, while enemies exploit our instability. This reckless foreign policy harms both our reputation and national security. Economic Decline Since January 2025 Since January 2025, the economy has deteriorated: • Growth Forecasts: Morgan Stanley cut its 2025 growth forecast to 1.5% (from 1.9%), citing tariffs and labor market strain (Reuters). • Recession Risks: Tariffs on imports from Canada, Mexico, and China could trigger a recession within 9–12 months (MarketWatch). • Market Volatility: Global financial instability has forced downward revisions of U.S. economic forecasts (The Times). Call to Action for the Legislative Branch As elected representatives, you must take real action beyond symbolic gestures: 1. Enact Economic Policies: Address tariff damage, stabilize markets, and promote sustainable growth. 2. Enhance Oversight: Hold the executive branch accountable to national interests and constitutional principles. 3. Engage in Bipartisan Collaboration: Put American welfare above partisan politics. Demand for Executive Resignation Given economic distress, public discontent, and global humiliation, we demand the executive branch resign. This is essential to restoring public trust and ensuring leadership that reflects the people’s will. Your positions exist to serve the people. It is our job to protest; it is yours to act and lead with integrity.
