I'm writing in devastation about the plans to "drill, baby, drill" in our beautiful national lands. We are not in an energy crisis. It was made up by the president, who is answering to Russia and billionaire business owners instead of the people who voted for him and all the people of this country. Please say no to shortsighted policies that will leave us without any natural lands to enjoy. What if he comes for the Everglades next? And please do not allow gargantuan cuts to programs like Medicaid and Social Security that care for our most vulnerable. Especially because we've all been paying into Social Security! If the goal is to stop increasing our deficit, we need to charge billionaires and the super rich fairly instead of decreasing their tax burden even further. Otherwise, you're ignoring all of us who voted for you (and who didn't). The mandate was to reduce prices and rein in inflation. Starting tariff wars and destroying our natural resources won't do that.
