According to Article II, Section 1, Clause 7 of the Constitution: The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be encreased nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the United States, or any of them. Each day of Trump's presidency seems to come with some new outrageous claim of scandal, cruelty, or corruption. However, as of March 11, 2025, the rampant cronyism has reached a fever pitch as Donald Trump posted on X that "the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great automakers, and Elon’s ‘baby,’ in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for." Trump's solution to the DOGE leader's financial plight? To purchase a new Tesla for himself and advertise it in front of the White House with Musk. This goes beyond mere corruption. What we are witnessing is a President using our tax dollars to purchase extravagant goods for private use from another government official, as not only a means to deter the boycott effects of the people, but to simultaneously manipulate the stock market in broad daylight. In addition, with Musk's $200mil+ campaign donation prior to Trump's inauguration, this new stunt could be interpreted as a quid pro quo agreement between Musk and Trump. We, the American people, will no longer sit idly by as we struggle to afford groceries while the President purchases luxury items from other members of the Republican party as a way to silence our means of protest with our own money. We are not so demoralized into complacency that we have forgotten that President Trump always has been, and always will be, a lying and crooked business man, who will manipulate data in any context to achieve what he considers to be a favorable outcome. And we will not be gaslit into believing that the bump in Tesla stock following Trump's "advertisement" reflects a true and fair market. It has become clear to the people that the President has accepted emoluments from the United States on two separate fronts that exceeds that of his normal compensation. He had to withdraw the excess money necessary, presumably, from our United States Treasury to purchase the Tesla, and then paid for and accepted the item itself from an official of the United States government. Based on these violations of our Constitution, we the people demand immediate articles of impeachment to be brought against Donald Trump! In addition to articles of impeachment, since we the people have no way of determining the true origin of the funds used to purchase the Tesla, we also demand a full, public financial audit of the President to rule out any misappropriation of tax payer funds! Be aware that your constituents are watching, and we are holding each member of Congress accountable for the tyrant in the adjoining, equal branch of government.
