Protect graduate students on student visas

To: Rep. Palmer, Sen. Tuberville, Sen. Britt

From: A verified voter in Alabaster, AL

March 28

In recent days, a number of graduate students studying in the US on legal student visas have had their visas revoked and have been deprived due process. They have been sent to immigration detention or holding facilities and threatened with deportation. Here in Alabama, UA graduate student Alireza Doroudi has been detained. Student visa holders have the same right to free speech as American citizens; this is one of the qualities of American life that makes us a bastion of freedom and a place that attracts international talent. SPEAK OUT against these terrifying violations and see that these graduate students are returned to their states and universities.
