Protect and fully fund our libraries!

To: Rep. Roemer

From: A verified voter in Cuyahoga Falls, OH

April 3

I am writing to you as a concerned constituent and a regular library patron who relies on my local library for access to books, technology, and community resources. I urge you to oppose any cuts to public library funding, as these institutions are essential to education, personal growth, and the overall well-being of our community. The library has played a significant role in my life and the lives of many others in our community. Whether it’s checking out books, attending educational programs, using free Wi-Fi, or bringing my children to storytime, the library is an invaluable resource that I depend on regularly. Reducing funding for public libraries would have a devastating impact on people like me who rely on these services. It would mean fewer books and resources, reduced programming for children and adults, and limited access to technology for those who don’t have it at home. Many people depend on the library for job searching, resume building, and online learning, and without adequate funding, these opportunities will be lost. I respectfully ask you to advocate for full funding for public libraries and to recognize their importance in our community. Our libraries are more than just buildings filled with books—they are lifelines for education, information, and connection. I would love the opportunity to discuss this further or provide more information on how the library has positively impacted my life. Thank you for your time and for your commitment to our community. I hope you will stand with me in protecting public library funding.
