Restore USDA funding for schools and food banks. It is unacceptable that the Trump administration has cut these vital programs that address food insecurity unity among our nation’s most vulnerable populations. The USDA funding helps ensure that people — especially children and the elderly — don’t go hungry. A measure of a nation’s wealth is how it treats its most vulnerable. A country as great as the United States needs to ensure none of its people go hungry. As an American, I want my tax dollars going to programs that alleviate hunger. The USDA funding for schools and food banks must be restored.
