The state of Missouri is located in tornado alley. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that we are a state that has literally had cities wiped off the map and rebuilt because of tornados. We are coming up on the most active time of tornado season, yet funding has been cut so severely that the following offices are now “critically understaffed.” Cheyenne, WY Goodland, KS Jackson, KY Kansas City, MO Marquette, MI Omaha, NE Rapid City, SD Wichita, KS Denver, CO Sioux Falls, SD Grand Forks, ND As you can see, not only is the office IN Missouri listed here, but also several other offices that help contribute to the safety of everyone in tornado alley. I’d like to know what exactly you’re planning on doing to remedy this. The people in the state of Missouri need these services, literally in many cases, to survive. It is mind boggling that representatives from a state in tornado alley would support cuts to these offices and not fight for the safety of the people they’re supposed to represent, the very people who voted for them to be there.
