What my elected officials did this week. ◦ Sat on their hands and watched while 11 billion dollars in taxpayer funds were stolen from the CDC to help prevent Covid at the state level. ◦ Sat quietly by while Speaker Mike Johnson discussed publicly the idea that the federal court system should be dismantled because judges have the temerity to oppose the rise of fascism. ◦ Turned their backs while an unelected billionaire foreign national sought to dismantle the Social Security Administration and thus deprive hundreds of millions of people the benefits they have earned. ◦ Failed to hold accountable the Secretary of Defense for committing treason. ◦ Again this week my representatives took a paycheck but did nothing to earn it. ◦ And yet again they refused to uphold the constitution they pledged to defend. I am a voter. I am a constituent. I am a taxpayer. The people are watching. The world is watching. We will remember your actions.
