Stop the Dismantling of the DoE

To: Sen. Cotton, Sen. Boozman, Rep. Hill

From: A constituent in North Little Rock, AR

March 24

The Trump administration's threats against the Department of Education has absolutely no positive outcomes. This will only harm already underserved schools. If we care about our children and our future at all, we need to push back against this blatant attack. The only reason any administration, regardless of political party, would make a move like this is to create an even heavier bias towards platforming propaganda over actual education. Our country is already undereducated. States that would especially be impacted by this are those already at the bottom of literacy, education, higher learning, and graduation rates. They're states like ours here in Arkansas that already struggle with funding and testing. They're states where kids rely on schools for their meals and for daytime childcare. Dismantling the Department of Education will only create larger cracks for kids to fall through. Please intervene with the administration bypassing the legal routes towards modifying extant departments and stop them from destroying our already fragile educational system.
