It’s time for Congress to recover its taxing power from the unilateral actions of Trump. Tariffs are taxes. And the tariffs imposed by Trump are without basis in fact. They will in fact be harmful to the US. This country spend 75 years developing partnerships across the world. These tariffs threaten that successful relationship. I am aware that you voted for the CR that sneakily included the modification to definition of a “day” to try and prevent review of Trump’s tariffs. It’s a shame. As your constituent, I implore you to retrieve the power of Congress and reverse these destructive tariffs.
