I’m sickened by the story I just read by an independent journalist on the atrocities being commit in the El Salvador prisons. Young men grabbed off our streets and thrown onto planes in the middle of the night. Taken to a far off country, yanked off the planes and humiliatingly kicked,slapped, punched, shaved and stripped naked. Then thrown, 80 into a cell, to sleep on steel planks, no talking. When can we assume the democratic principles we stand for will force us to backtrack and bring them back here? These are war crimes. And someone is very guilty over here. This cannot stand. This is not who we are. Who will stand up for them? I want answers.
