As Cory Booker continues to hold the Senate floor, I have learned much in the last 15 hours about the impacts of the Trump / Musk administration's assault on America. Why are you not standing up for YOUR constituents who are being harmed? Why are you not protecting our economy from the decimation of irresponsible management? Why is it so important to give the wealthiest people of our country more money, and to do it by sacrificing hundreds of thousands of American lives? While it is discouraging to know that he will be dismissed and decried by the administration and by Republican leadership, these are not partisan things he's talking about. They are the foundations of our democracy, and they are the best of our nature as human beings and as a society. It's important not to let others out-shout those values, especially if their only qualification for so doing is their lack of character. I am glad that every word is being entered into historical record. I'm just deeply embarrassed that those words aren't coming from you.
