The United States' recent foreign policy decisions have raised serious concerns about betraying longstanding allies and appeasing authoritarian regimes with disturbing human rights records. By abruptly abandoning Kurdish forces who were instrumental in the fight against ISIS, we have damaged our credibility and emboldened adversaries. Moreover, the apparent willingness to overlook flagrant atrocities and human rights violations committed by certain regimes solely for geopolitical interests is a profound moral failure that betrays our nation's values and global leadership. It is imperative that we recalibrate our foreign policy to prioritize democratic principles, human rights, and lasting strategic alliances over short-term expediency. A course correction is urgently needed to uphold our international standing, preserve global stability, and prevent further loss of innocent lives. I urge you to use your authority to steer our nation back towards a foreign policy rooted in our highest ideals.
