Please vote NO on Musk's budget proposal. To accept this budget would be allowing an unelected, non government official to have massive power and also destroy the way our government works. Congress has the power of the purse, and therefore the only legal way to cut or increase government spending. If Musk's budget is accepted, it will mean massive cuts to our social safety net that millions of people rely on. My own parents, along with many other seniors, rely on government funding for social security and medical coverage. Trust in our government is seriously lacking right now, and Musk's proposed budget is not helping me trust that the government wants what is best for America.
