I want to be very clear. I don't want the department of education shut down. If you want it to be shut down, you should bring a bill to your chamber and vote on it. It is yours to do. The executive did not create and does not have the power to dismantle agencies created by acts of Congress. If the executive branch believes they have that power you need to correct that impression.
