I must express my outrage that Department of Government Efficiency hackers— twenty-somethings with no security clearances—have access to all the Social Security Administration’s files.
These youths, with no vetting, no ethics training, no accountability and no transparency have access to every American’s most sensitive information, including birth dates, addresses and social security numbers.
This creates a situation ripe for fraud, extortion and identity theft. DOGE is poised to cause incalculable damage to millions of Americans.
The fact these youth’s only oversight comes from Elon Musk—an unvetted, unelected billionaire whose only goal is to make as much money as possible—makes this situation even more grave. At this point, all that information is most likely on Musk’s private server.
Bigger picture, that information, used or shared improperly, creates a national security nightmare. What if that information is sold to a hostile foreign power?
What if Musk decides it is in his financial best interest to sell that information to our enemies? To sell your information to our enemies?
My wife and I urge you in the strongest terms to stop DOGE’s collection of American taxpayers’ most private information.
