I am writing as a constituent to express my opposition to H.R. 925, the “Dismantle DEI Act.” Recent reports show that words like “female” and over 95 others are being excluded from federal websites and flagged by the National Science Foundation. This raises serious concerns about free speech, scientific integrity, and the erasure of biological reality. Rather than dismantling Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs entirely, we should focus on ensuring they support fairness, transparency, and accountability without restricting language or stifling discussion. Eliminating these programs risks undermining equal opportunity and discouraging diverse perspectives in federal agencies.
