As Governor of Texas, you must champion our state's constitutional rights and the importance of proper checks on federal power. The same constitutional principles that protect states' rights also ensure that executive power at any level remains properly constrained by judicial review. Mr. Musk's statement threatens this fundamental balance that protects all Americans, including Texans, from potential overreach. Mr. Musk's statement contradicts these values and should not go unchallenged by state leaders like yourself. While you may argue that Mr. Musk has brought economic benefits to Texas through his business ventures, his statements suggest views fundamentally at odds with our constitutional system. As Texans, we should not sacrifice our commitment to constitutional principles for economic advantage.
