These tariffs will be a disaster for both the US and the world economies. You cannot put the responsibility for this on the President because the Constitution gives Congress this power. Republicans could stop it any time they want. You can’t honestly say you think this economic carnage is going to be good for America, especially not before you are up for re-election. If you don’t care about your constituents, at least think of your own political future.
