I’m writing to you out of deep concern for something we can’t afford to take for granted: due process. It’s not just a legal concept—it’s the backbone of fairness in this country. And right now, it feels like that backbone is under serious strain.
What’s happening across our political and legal landscape is troubling. We’re seeing processes rushed, rights seemingly overlooked, and political motivations creeping into places where impartiality should be non-negotiable. Regardless of where anyone stands politically, this isn’t just about one person or one party—this is about all of us. If due process is weakened for one, it’s weakened for everyone.
We can’t allow the core principles of justice—like the presumption of innocence, the right to a fair trial, and protection from arbitrary action—to be sidelined or sacrificed for the sake of political gain or public pressure. That’s not how a democracy stays strong. It’s how it starts to break down.
I’m urging you to speak up and take action to protect due process now. Stand up for the rule of law, push back on politicized legal maneuvers, and help restore public trust in the fairness and integrity of our system. This isn’t about partisanship. It’s about principle.
Please don’t let this moment pass without doing everything in your power to protect the rights that define who we are as a nation.
