Today I am asking you to keep funding public broadcasting and to preserve the Smithsonian without overwriting the message it contains. Education and access to information is something that separates a first world country from a third world country, and you are helping slide us out of our spot at the top the geopolitical landscape. Everyone else is laughing at us, and I'd like you to make it stop.
