I urge you to strongly condemn the round up of permanent residents and those on student visas who have not been charged with any crimes, but may have spoken against the views of the current administration. The latest high-profile example is the arrest and planned deportation of Rumeysa Ozturk, who co-authored an opinion piece for the Tufts University school paper last Fall. This is a blatant authoritarian crackdown and shameful violation of the First Amendment.
