Throughout our nation’s history, there have been times when our leaders have to decide if they will show courage and step up, or step aside and let others lead. Senator Booker today showed he is willing to step up. During his filibuster to protest a variety of the grave injustices being committed by the current Administration, he led by example. Now the question is, “Who will be next”? As your constituent, I ask that you represent the people of Nevada, stand up, and say, “I’m next. I want the record to reflect that I was unwilling to just be a bystander. As a member of the minority party, I did the one thing I could.” Please be a leader and take the baton from Sen. Booker.
