Saturday, March 15, 2025, will be remembered as Black Saturday—the day the U.S. ceased to function as a constitutional democracy. For the first time, a sitting president openly defied a direct federal court order without consequences. A judge ruled against the administration, but the White House simply ignored it. This wasn’t about law; it was about power. Trump tested the system and learned he could act without repercussions.
This moment exposed the judiciary’s powerlessness. The courts lack enforcement, and a presidency that can disregard rulings is no longer bound by law. The normalization of defiance leads to the collapse of democracy, and Trump’s actions prove it. The judiciary, already weakened, is now unable to hold him accountable. When laws are unenforced, democracy itself is in danger.
Please take action to restore accountability and preserve the rule of law.
