NO to Pete Hegseth: Pete Hegseth is deeply unfit and wholly unqualified to be our next Secretary of Defense. Hegseth settled a sexual assault claim in 2020 to protect his Fox News job. Should defense secretary qualifications be lower than those for a Fox & Friends host? You will make your self a laughingstock and you will endanger the safety of our armed forces if you even appear to treat Hegseth as a candidate worth consideration - as, to her lasting shame- Senator Collins already has done. Senator Collins should also back track from her approval of Trump economics and acknowledge the success of Biden's policies. Trickle theory does not work and has been proven not to. Bidenomics works. Please talk with your colleagues and please preserve the constitutional separation of powers. Do not allow recess appointments and do not tolerate the project 2025 aspiration to hugely increase the power of the executive. Let Senator Collins also reflect on her poor judgment about Bret Kavanaugh and her shameful derogatory comments about Dr Blasey Ford. This was poor judgment or partisan naivety. Now a third woman in Texas has died because of Dodds. This should be on your conscience every day for the rest of your life, Senator Collins. Your trust was misplaced: your constituents asked you to vote no and warned you. Vote NO also on election deniers and those who side with January 6th insurrectionists. That means NO to Elise Stefanik for any post. This is a moment of great danger for the future of our republic and for our rights. Do not treat this transition like an ordinary one Senator Collins does not seem to realise that she is the last and only national elected GOP from all of New England and that her popularly is at the bottom of senate rankings. Please represent your constituents and refrain from the fake bipartisan charades. It's time for you to leave the GOP and become and independent. I will be watching the votes of all my electeds.
