Hell NO to "Raisin' Caine": Do NOT permit politicisation of the military.

You know the steps to dictatorship? I'm sure you know the anatomy of fascism? The aspiring dictator seeks to control previously separate branches of government and replace adherence to the rule of law with personal loyalty so strong that "his" appointees will follow his orders--even illegal ones. You know, too, that the holocaust started with demonising minorities, removing their civil and legal rights and then mass deportations. Stop Trump from leading the US down these paths. Look, he has already captured the senate, full of cowardly GOP who refuse to object to his unconstitutional orders; he has stripped Congress of its role in appropriations, illegally shuttered agencies which exist by congressional mandate, perverted the DOJ with a partisan, installed a proponent of political revenge at the FBI... And now the military. Will you tolerate Trump turning our military into a praetorian guard? Are you going to stand by and okay another unsuitable nominee? Please do NOT accept General Caine's nomination for Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Say NO. Look how badly all Trump's other nominees have turned out? Learn your lesson and listen to us. We have had enough of these unqualified wreckers. Trump's choice reflects a troubling attempt to politicise the military's senior leadership. We know that he has been chosen for personal loyalty rather than merit or appropriate credentials Caine has not served in any of the roles — Joint Chiefs vice chairman, chief of staff for one of the branches of the armed service, or head of a combatant command — that nominees are legally required to have performed in order to be nominated. The president, however, may waive those requirements if he "determines such action is necessary in the national interest." It's been widely reported that: "Trump previously shared that Caine told him, “I love you, sir. I think you’re great, sir. I’ll kill for you, sir.” Caine also threw on a MAGA hat, flouting military protocol barring active-duty troops from wearing political attire." Say NO to Caine. Stop the coup; do not allow Trump to continue to shred the constitution and dismantle our agencies and national assets. Do not permit the politicisation of the military. Hold the line now by saying no to Caine and refuse all other unsuitable nominees.
