Hard NO to the Save Act HR22 /s28 : NO voter suppression

Hard NO to the Save Act. DO NOT create voter suppression. I'm writing to demand that you vote against, and speak out against the Save Act, HR 22 /S 28. This proposed law is voter suppression dressed up in legislation; it would create new and unnecessary barriers to voter registration by requiring a passport or birth certificate to vote. For millions of eligible voters who do not have those documents easily accessible, it would create new barriers to voting. There are NO GOOD reasons to make it harder to register to vote. Also: voter fraud at the individual level is vanishingly rare. Millions of eligible voters do not have easy access to those documents. Thus this bill would disenfranchise countless voters, especially women, seniors, and low-income citizens. This bill is nefarious; it is intended to block voters access to the polls despite no significant evidence of any widespread fraud. Please, remember and honor the legacy of all who fought peacefully to extend the vote. Please, honor the memory of John Lewis. You should speak up for, and advance the John Lewis voting rights advancement act of 2023 instead. Do not I repeat, DO NOT vote for the Save act: speak against it and vote against it. I am watching your vote and count on you never to support any measure like the save act which restricts elegible voters' access to the polls
