Say NO to the coup: either make your courage visible or skip Trump's address

Symbols matter. Trump and Musk are dismantling federal agencies and negating Congress's constitutional role and power. Science, public health, social justice and our rights, even the rule of law and the truth itself -- all are under attack. We all know that it took Hitler less than six months to dismantle German democracy. Trump and Musk look far along on such a dismantling. Much, indeed most, of what they are doing is unconstitutional, illegal or both. We as your constituents sent you to Congress understanding that you would swear to uphold and defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. Please, do that. Join the courage caucus. Stop acting as if it's business as usual. Stop giving unanimous consent. Don't help the GOP find the government with their cruel as outrageous cuts to social security, Medicare, Medicaid and Snap. It's time to make your disapproval of this lawless and destructive chainsaw massacre of our agencies, law, and constitution visible. NO MORE BUSINESS AS USUAL. Please, DO NOT attend the Trump's address to Congress Tuesday. If you feel you must attend, wear a costume that shows your disapproval. Turn your back. Coordinate with your colleagues to make your rejection of Trump's dictatorial regime visible. And audible. NO business as usual.
